Oh yes I DID! Finally went to the top of the A.B. Young Trail

Oh yes I DID!  Finally went to the top of the A.B. Young Trail!!!  Here are some pics...

 The trail boasts a strenuous 1800+ incline in just 2 1/2 miles...making a good aerobic workout,
however I was just blowing off steam and hoping to get some good pics...

 Highway 89a below that little road with those little dots are cars...

 Down there is Slide rock park where all those dots are that look like buildings...

 I did stop between huffing and puffing to shoot a few flower pics...

 I don't look that winded...pufff*

 The adjacent view on the other side of the Canyon...and I still wasn't to the top yet...

 The summit isn't far now!

 Burnt lightning struck tree stump at the top..

 Delightful yellow flower...looks like my goldenrod colored sweatshirt...maybe it's goldenrod?  Well I'm no botanist...

2013 Parade excerpts with me acting the fool...oh well...

Film festival...just briefly...

So far during the film festival the greatest complaint I heard mostly from locals is how bad the traffic is and there are a few people who would just love for them to be gone...yet they "the locals" seem to forget that they bring a ton of cashflow with them from other places with bookings, hotel stays, tours, sundry items such as film, groceries.  So your complaining becauuuuuuse?  However, 

no matter how hard you try or how badly you want it you can never make some people happy...

On the other hand many of the tourists appear to be having the time of their lives...

So go figure...
